Happy Holidays

So I haven’t been writing here for a while. Over a week, I guess, looking at the calendar on the sidebar.

I’ve been staying pretty busy at work this week, motivated by the opportunity to finally start implementing things for a new project. I’ve also been off kilter1, at least as far as writing is concerned, since Disney World.

I came up with a new idea for a small video game project which I’d like to do but don’t know when I’ll get the opportunity. My home PC is making scary noises, so I don’t know if I feel comfortable using it to work on projects. I just bought an external hard drive, though, so I should be able to do stuff now without fear of the old drive suddenly crashing and losing everything. The worst that will happen is that I won’t be able to work on stuff until I can save up for a new computer. Which is pretty much what is happening now anyway, so I might as well do what I can with what I have, right?

Christmas is coming up. The holiday time off will be nice.

I got on a scale yesterday and was surprised.

I like Portal and Team Fortress 2 a lot. I’m starting Half-Life 2. Haven’t yet finished Mass Effect, or Assassin’s Creed. I may over the holidays.

I’m planning on going back to doing cardio when I work out now, because I’d like to lose some weight.

1 The American Heritage Dictionary says “kilter” means, “n. Good condition; proper form”you learn something new every day.
